Winter arrives in Flagstaff
Cool days, cold nights
A few days ago and just before Thanksgiving we experienced our first snow of the season. It was light with very little accumulation and at times more like sleet but it was a storm nevertheless. Since then it has been noticeably cooler here in fact downright cold at night. Good news for skiers though as the Arizona Snowbowl is open. Currently they are reporting a 16" base with 9" of relatively fresh snow. So come on up Skiers, the season has begun. Historic Downtown Flagstaff is all decked out for the Christmas holidays. It can be fun to walk around downtown and see what the local shops and restaurants have to offer. If you are up for a hike, try the local favorite, Fat Mans Loop which is directly behind us here at Elden Trails Bed and Breakfast. We still have dates available in December so give us a call at 928-266-0230 to reserve our commodious and comfortable Studio Suite.
