Warmer Days in Flagstaff
Winter weather takes a break
We had plenty of rain and a bit of snow a week or so ago but now warmer and drier days are here. How long will this mild spell last? Who knows? Its still time to catch up and grab that holiday feeling. We all need some joy and fun in our lives so if its not there, we need to create it. There are a number of activities to take part in this Holiday season. For starters, the Weatherford Hotel is offering "Breakfast with Santa" Saturday the 13th and Saturday the 20th of December. Grownups and children can enjoy a delicious full breakfast and the children can visitSanta. It you have children you may wish to put that on your calendar. Another holiday special for the whole family Winter Wonderland horse drawn carriage rides take place from 1:00 to 4:00 pm Saturdays before Christmas.
After your carriage ride you may wish to stretch you legs a bit. I recommend a short drive up to Flagstaff's Buffalo Park where you can take in the spectacular vista of the mountains while you walk the Buffalo Park two mile loop trail. After your walk you may be ready for some excellent food. Head east on Cedar Ave. past the shopping center until on your left you come to an unpretentious building housing New Jersey Pizza. Walk inside and tell them that Steve & Marnie from Elden Trails Bed and Breakfast sent you. You will not go wrong at this gourmet pizza restaurant. New Jersey was originally opened by four graduates of the Norther Arizona University Culinary school. Today, one of the original owners still runs the establishment.
If you need a place to stay look no further, you have found us. Elden Trails Bed and Breakfast is just a short drive from New Jersey Pizza and our property backs right up to national forest land and some great hiking trails including the Mt. Elden Lookout Trail. Check out our reviews and you'll see that many guests have thoroughly enjoyed our great breakfast.
Give us a call (928-266-0230) we do have some openings and we'd love to see you.
