Seasons first Snow
It's the middle of October

Heavy rains fell on the Flagstaff area yesterday driven at times by blustery winds. Partial clearing later and a warmup to 40 or so degrees. Last night snow fell late and depending on what part of town you were located in anywhere from a half inch to 2 inches accumulated. However at The Arizona Snowbowl and higher elevations 8 to 12 inches were expected. Hey, after all it is just past the middle of October. If you are headed to Flagstaff of course we hope you will be staying here at Elden Trails Bed and Breakfast but let us recommend a couple of dinning establishments. For a truly charming experience and delicious cuisine Josephine's is a great place to go. They have different dinning rooms and each has a wood burning fireplace. Also, we highly recommend Fat Olives a very popular Italian restaurant that is known for their wood fired pizza. If you need to work up an appetite first how about a nice hike. Directly behind Elden Trails B&B is one of Flagstaffs most popular hiking trails. Its known as Fat Mans Loop, a two mile loop up a short ways on the lower slopes of Mt. Elden. Great views too! Give us a call at 928-266-0230 and we will show you some real Arizona mountain hospitality. Check out our reviews, I think you'll like them.
