Warm Weather continues in Flagstaff

Here we are in the latter part of February and its still so much warmer than usual here.  We are thankful however for the mostly rain and wind storm that passed over us last week.  It made things less dry and did produce snow at the higher elevations.  So far this is the least amount of snow I have seen in my 30 years in this area.  Are we headed for an early spring?  It sure feels that way now but I know its too early to call it a winter just yet.  I used to live at Lake Tahoe in the high sierra and we had an exceptionally dry winter and then seemingly out of the blue we had a massive snow storm that dropped four feet in two days.  This was in early April.  Arizona Snowbowl has having a pretty good season and they currently have all lifts operating and 42 of 61 trails are open.  The current base is 26" and they have received 56" of natural snow this season.  So if you are thinking about a getaway, how about a ski away as Snowbowl is offering some great lift ticket prices.  They have prices as low as $20. a day and if you're a skier you know that is a screaming deal.
